Hundreds of people have asked their Representatives and Senators to vote AGAINST HB 1274, the bill that keeps brain dead women on life support as incubators, ignoring living wills, the family, and medical advice. It passed the House at the beginning of the month with a 95-0 vote. Not one Representative was brave enough to stand up against it.

Yesterday HB1274 passed the Senate (with 2 brave No votes), but they amended it.  While it is slightly better than the original bill, the core issue remains: a woman loses the right to a living will if she is pregnant.  Women are not second class citizens!

Because of their changes, the House will have one final vote on this bill. This means you have one more shot at expressing your opinion to your Representative, and getting them to do the right thing.  We don’t know when the vote will be, but it will have to be on or before Friday (which is the last day to pass bills in this session).
